Beauty in Obedience
God has taught me so much about stepping out in faith and most importantly in having confidence.
He rewards that kind of obedience— to be unashamed of His prompting of us to go and speak His words.
My first day of work at Adventures in Missions was a Monday. We have Monday morning worship as well as a time of teaching or activation in our walk with God.
God spoke to me that I was going to share encouragement. I said “okay God.. what will I share?”
During worship, He showed me a vision of Jesus going into the depths of our hearts. He said “I’ll do ANYTHING to get to the deep places and minister to you.” Just for fun, I‘ll share with you more details. Jesus was in scuba gear walking into a cave. The cave represents our heart! He was soaking wet from visiting the deepest part of the cave where you can find water.
I got up to share the encouragement without a clue as to who it would minister to. Fast forward three weeks later and I find out who it touched.
My new friend, who was in the room with her mom, shared a powerful testimony. Her mom does not believe in any God, yet her heart was softened in that time of worship. Her heart was ready to receive a message from Papa God. She began to weep when I spoke what Jesus wanted to say. It was for her!
You never know who will be impacted by your obedience. Let there be a “yes” in your spirit; God wants to reach many through you! You are a mouthpiece for His goodness!!
